Of all the silhouettes that Nike has hybridized with its proprietary Air Max 270 cushioning, arguably none have had a scarcer release cycle than the Air Edge 270. Debuted Spring 2019, the tall-silhouette combines all-day comfort with design nods to basketball sneakers of the ’90s, most notably Charles Barkley’s signature line. Complete with a velcro strap lacing system, uppers on this forthcoming pair revert back to their original leather, mesh, and synthetic arrangement after a brief stint in patent leather. Clad in “Light Bone” and tan, top-halves on the Air Edge 270 sit atop an equally muted midsole, but are accented by hits of a “Sapphire Green” on branding at the base of the laces and heel, as well as on the medial side right above the plump 270 Air unit.
Take a closer look at this clean pair here below and expect a Nike.com drop in the coming weeks for the usual $160 USD.
