Since it was first introduced in 1950 to give soccer players solid footing on icy turf, the adidas Samba has become one of the Trefoil Brand’s most beloved silhouettes — and now it’s releasing in an “MS” makeup inspired by the culture of another sport it boasts deep roots in: cycling. Arriving in a light “Easy Yellow” and a simple “Core Black,” the Samba MS keeps the OG shape intact, but adds a few new details: a branded tab on the tongue enables easy on/off, and the midfoot stripes are lifted all the way up to the top of the eyestays, leaving their embroidered outlines on the lower half for a unique branded look. With cycling in mind the shoes pile on new performance features too, as a gusseted tongue and water-repellant suede toe cap ensure the wearer’s feet stay dry in even the most inclement conditions. Reflective laces and a city map graphic on the insole then complete the look. Both of these ride-ready Sambas are set to release March 1st for $100 USD, so check out a buyer’s guide and full set of official images for each colorway below.
