The jade that layers atop the midsole, for example, is both a nod to premium jewelry as well as the bangles that May’s grandmother passed down to her years ago. “Fortune,” the colorway’s name, is intangibly echoed alongside, the bright green material a cultural symbol of this theme. Elsewhere, gold accents in tandem, creating a balanced aesthetic that’s aided further by the upper’s tanned suede.
